What We Believe

About the Scriptures

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We believed that by the Holy Spirit God moved men to write the glorious words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe that the Bible is the inerrant, infallible Word of God and should always be read as our perfect standard for living.

About God

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world.

About Humanity

We believe that mankind was created in the image of God and that God created people in order to have fellowship with them. Through sinful disobedience we are alienated from a right relationship with God. As a result of sin, people cannot regain a righteous relationship through efforts of their own.

About Salvation

We believe that there is but one way to forgiveness of sin and that the blood of Jesus Christ, which He shed for us on the cross, is that way. We believe that if we place our faith in Jesus’ death and resurrection as the only means to pay our sin debt, then God freely offers us salvation.

About the Christian Life

As Christians, we believe God calls us to a life of complete obedience to His Word and daily the leadership of the Spirit of God. Our lives should be lived daily for Christ and our goal should be to mature and be conformed into His image.

About the Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ and that Jesus Christ is the head of that body. The members of the church consist of those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ and His blood. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and proclaiming His wonderful name to the lost and dying world.
